MBA Programs in HOWARD School of Business

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM

The mission of Howard University School of Business, Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program is to provide the academic and professional foundation students need to make a first class contribution to the business community.

Full-Time Day MBA Program

The full-time day program offers superior management education in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment that prepares graduates to enter the global economy as effective leaders, planners, and managers. Graduates of the program develop a solid knowledge and analytical competence in a wide range of functional disciplines, through classroom and hands-on application.

Part-time Evening MBA Program

The part-time evening program offers the high quality content of the full-time day program to students who wish to continue working during the day. Students who enroll in the part-time program may opt to participate in the accelerated part-time program, which requires completion in 3 rather than 4 years.

Five-Year Accounting Program

The five year accounting degree program is restricted to Howard University undergraduate accounting majors who graduated May 1997 or later. This particular program is designed to address the needs of students who seek to enter the public accounting profession. The program provides a comprehensive education and prepares students for leadership and management positions in accounting, auditing, and related career paths. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be prepared to sit for the CPA Examination in any state in the nation.

Dual Degree Programs

The HUMBA program has also partnered with the other professional schools and the College of Engineering, Architecture and Computer Sciences (CEACS) to offer a number of dual degree and special programs. These programs include the JD/MBA program with the School of Law; the MD/MBA program with the School of Medicine; the PharmD/MBA program with the School of Pharmacy; and BSE/MBA with the CEACS.
